No photos to post tonight. We took a bunch today, though, with my new lens. Very cool. Jered and I took a personal day for the two of us. . . yes, it was supposed to be our Nebraska GetAway camping extravaganza. . . then Jered got a new job. So. Personal day it was. But it was a good one.
I'm currently drinking Ginger tea I bought at half price (Thanks, clearance end-caps at Target!) and listening to a hammered dulcimer CD I bought at the Renaissance Fest oh, about twelve years ago. And I still love it! Such good, classic music. It reminds me of fall. Too bad today was so stinkin' hot. Here's the thing though, I love fall. I HATE winter. Hate is a strong word. I wish there was a stronger one to express the way I feel about January-mid March. So as much as I love cider and bon fires and sweaters and chili and Thanksgiving and all that. . . it just means that winter is around the corner. And here in Kansas, Autumn really don't last long. Fun Autumn, anyway. The chilly leaves-are-turning, let's put on a hoodie and make some sweet chili kind of fall. Yeah, that's from like the beginning of October until my birthday. Maybe. I was reading in my old journal and the leaves were great and the weather was a chill 50 degrees on November the 5th. By November the 12th, the leaves were gone and it was 42 degrees and raining. Oh Kansas.
So I've decided we need a winter house. I know Jered will back me up on this. Winter House. In, say, Texas? Who wants to help with this?
In other news, I didn't get my two $2,500 lenses because Amazon didn't give me that much of a credit limit on my brand-spankin' new Amazon Store Credit Card. Let's just say the credit limit would get me about one third of one of those lenses. . . let alone two. I suppose I'll just have to do it the old fashioned way and SAVE.
Which leads me to some BIG news which some of you out there know but that I won't disclose until it's final. No. No children. No, our house isn't sold. Something else. I'll leave you in suspense.
This was a completely random post but that's kinda the way I've been doing things lately. As Harmonie put it last Friday when I saw her, we suffer from ADHohlooksomethingshiny!
end
